History Of

My Dragon

Cookies

The story behind the inspiration for my Dragon Cookies is indeed an unusual one. You see, it all started way back in 2012. Back before this site was established, DeviantART was my home. It was the place I hung my quill as an author, my brush as an artist, and my heart as a Dragon. I tried very hard most days to come up with something new and exciting to post there. However, this became increasingly difficult as time went on. Thus, I became ensnared with the burning question, “What can I do to give everyone a reason to visit my page daily?”

As an author, it was very important to me to stay as active on my page as possible. I really wanted to provide something new and exciting every day for my fans. Honestly there were times I would stay up at night, asking myself some very hard questions. One of these questions was “What can I do to stay prolific?” Another was “How can I keep my content new and exciting, yet within the same theme?” “Can I give people a reason to keep coming back on a permanent basis?”

I took elements I was then using for my journals and arranged them upon a piece of parchment. I then started to write down bits of wisdom formed from original phrases in my mind. The idea was for each tidbit of wisdom to have the style of a fortune cookie. Thus, I named my creations Dragon Cookies, as a cute play on words. Years went by, and I kept posting one of these on my DeviantART profile every single day. By this time, my Cookies had gone though several design iterations. Eventually and very recently, my ultimate design settled upon the following, with Dragon Cookie 383 on June 16, 2018.

Now, praise the Lord, it is not unusual for one of my Dragon Cookies to be liked or commented on within moments! Once meant to be something for passive enjoyment on my profile, my Dragon Cookies have become a staple of my DeviantART profile and my online presence! I hope that you truly enjoy them.
