How I Started
I‘ve been crafting jewelry longer than I’ve been writing. It all started when I went out to eat with my parents one night at Wrangler Steakhouse. A young woman served us there that night. She walked right up to our table to take our order, and lo and behold, upon her neck sat the most gorgeous wire choker/collar I had ever seen! The piece glistened in the soft light, shimmering enticingly with her every move. Its bright, lustrous glow intensified as the stream of silver flowed effortlessly across the creases of her neck and throat. I simply could not stop staring! The piece was at least a quarter of an inch wide and an eighth of an inch thick, but how perfectly did its flat form rest upon her!

It was at this very instant that I realized I’d caught hold of the insatiable desire to make my own version of that collar. At least, I would to the best of my ability! Of course, the choice of materials I had available to me were not quite in the same league as the sterling silver flowing over her neck. Even though this was a worthy challenge, I still tried my best! I simply would not concede to be kept from such a beautiful design as I had witnessed that night!
My First Jewelry
It took me hours to find what I needed to replicate such a masterpiece, but eventually the perfect object appeared! I took a strip of galvanized roofing material I found lying around the house and attacked it with steel wool. Once I had enough length shining and glistening in the light, I bent and fatigued the metal until it snapped in two.

After I rounded off the sharp edges I then went about the long arduous process of shaping the metal to my neck. The clock ticked on, my anticipation building. After what seemed like an eternity I bent the ends over. This was so that the edges of the metal would not cut me. A bit more sanding here and there with steel wool, and there it sat: my first piece of jewelry! It wasn’t quite as shiny as the one the girl who served us had worn, but it was certainly close to the same visual dimension and feel. All of this was true of course, but with one major difference: It was my OWN!
Types Of Jewelry I Make
Well I’m so glad you asked! Well, since I made my first piece of jewelry above I have made all sorts of different pieces ranging from Collars, Chokers, Bracelets, Rings, Septum Rings, Body Jewelry, and more! I’m always experimenting with new ideas and pushing myself beyond my normal boundaries. There’s truly a material out there for everything!
Types Of Materials I Use
I work with a variety of materials such as leather, silver(sterling and argentium), steel, stainless steel, and various synthetic leather and plastics, and I’m always pushing myself to go that extra distance! Every piece is lovingly crafted from the bottom of my heart from my paws to yours. There’s always a new opportunity to learn how to do something just a little more efficiently, and I have already learned so much about how to take my style and run with it! Of course, I am still learning more each day, as there is always something else to explore! All of my works will be available shortly in my Etsy Store, as well as options to submit a custom order, should you be interested!
